The Movie Education of Logan Crosland - Episode 10 - Demolition Man
Wednesday Jul 16, 2025
Wednesday Jul 16, 2025
We're police officers! We're not trained to handle this kind of violence!
In a world where one man has only seen 30 or so movies comes a desire to learn from a master. A master of film. A master of cinema. A master who has led such a sad life.
Logan seeks the knowledge and he turns to his own personal “Yoda”; Keithie.
Join Logan & Keithie on a wild adventure to discover as we watch along with a new movie each episode in THE MOVIE EDUCATION OF LOGAN CROSLAND.
This episode, Logan & Keithie (with a mid-movie tag in from everyone's favorite 9021-NoSo Host Tim Capel) take on Matt Souzapalooza's pick Demolition Man.
Sylvester Stallone & Wesley Snipes are constantly fined "1 Credit" in this action-packed thrill ride. Can Sandra Bullock control this much testosterone? Will Dennis Leary entertain and inform? Can Nigel Hawthorne or Bob Gunton enjoy their peace and quiet? Highly unlikely to all these questions.
And of course we talk about the three seashells.
Bad language, chocolate, gasoline, uneducational toys and anything spicy. Abortion is also illegal, but then again so is pregnancy if you don't have a licence.

NWA Crock and Roll Revisit No. 6, originally aired in December of 2020 on Place to Be Nation Podcast Network
Matt Souza (Piece of the Action, Highway to the Impact Zone, Jenny and the Gems) joins the boys for a special bonus episode as they look at September 1985 Super Shows.
9 matches from Battle of the Belts 1 in Florida, WWC 5 Year Anniversary from Puerto Rico, and SuperClash 1 from Chicago—all from September '85!
They open with some discussion on the passing of Pat Patterson, then dive into the action:
3 Road Warriors matches against legendary opponents and tag teams
3 Ric Flair title defenses, including a fantastic one with Magnum TA that they’ve waited five months for, one against a man with a pinfall win over Randy Savage earlier in the year, and one that causes controversy as Calum almost gets a pink slip for the holidays
Possibly the worst match they will ever cover on this pod
Dr. G’s memories of Billy Jack Haynes
A Six-Man Title match with the Russians vs. a team they had about ten names for (Team Cocoon?)
Flair trying to get killed in Puerto Rico
Terrible Larry Nelson and Mike Graham commentary
…and so much more.

NWA Crock and Roll Revisit #5: August 1985
Saturday Jul 05, 2025
Saturday Jul 05, 2025
(Originally aired November 2020 on the Place to Be Nation feed)
In this episode, the team welcomes Scott Shifflett to break down a red-hot month of NWA action from August 1985. Highlights include:
A brief and forgettable reign ends for Mid-Atlantic Champion Buzz Tyler—gone almost as soon as he arrived.
MVP promos from Ole Anderson, Ric Flair, Magnum T.A., and Tully Blanchard steal the spotlight.
Not-so-MVP promos from Dusty Rhodes, including one that notably doesn't age well in 2020.
The underrated brilliance of Baby Doll shines through, as the group agrees Dusty needs to back off.
Two standout angles: a six-man match ending in a broken arm and a memorable Magnum T.A. legal confrontation that sparks one of the all-time great Starrcade bouts.
An intense Ric Flair vs. The Russians confrontation, including a hidden gem NWA World Title match between Flair and Nikita Koloff from the Omni, laying groundwork for long-term storylines.
A strong month for Sam Houston... until a disastrous match with Black Bart derails momentum.
Terry Taylor’s continued blandness as he challenges Tully for the U.S. Title.
More groans as Jimmy Valiant appears in two matches, including a Six-Man Tag Title defense by the Russians—shockingly rated over 2 stars by some.
A U.S. Tag Title bout featuring Billy Jack Haynes & Wahoo McDaniel vs. Rick Rude & Jack Hart (with a legendary manager).
Paul Jones challenges Dusty for the TV Title using “his men”—but the panel agrees nobody’s asking for this.
The show ends with a visit to Florida, setting up a major Ric Flair vs. Wahoo McDaniel clash.

Hands of Z #18
Friday Jul 04, 2025
Friday Jul 04, 2025
Happy July 4th!
On this episode of The Hands of Z, Keith and Shawn head back to Georgia Championship Wrestling in 1983 for two matches that really caught them off guard—in the best way possible.
First, it’s Ron Garvin vs. Buzz Sawyer, a fast-paced, chaotic match packed with storytelling and physicality. Then we’ve got Larry Zbyszko taking on a young “Ravishing” Rick Rude, nearly a decade before they’d be on the same side in the Dangerous Alliance.
These may not be "hidden gems" in the traditional sense, but based on the era, the pacing, and what actually happens bell to bell, both matches really surprised Keith and Shawn. In fact, they might be some of the most fun they’ve had watching matches for the show so far.
Tune in to hear why these bouts stood out, what made them so engaging, and how these snapshots from 1983 GCW became unexpected highlights.
